Alma Redevelopment Project, 663 Victoria Street, Abbotsford

This was a landmark refurbishment of dilapidated wool scour (the oldest continuing wool scour in Melbourne) into 6,000m2 of strata titled office space. Our task was to identify the solid and historic elements - 1880's brick and bluestone construction - on which the refurbishment could take place. As a result, we created 16 exotic strata office suites - on the banks of tutorial facilities Yarra river in an industrial area of Melbourne - yet overlooking one of the city's prestige residential areas. This was a project which opened the door for a major renewal of this whole section of the riverbank in Collingwood, and is still considered one of the more interesting boutique office development in Melbourne.

Runner up in the RAIA National awards (Recycled buildings category)
